Empowering Grace

Grace is the empowerment of heaven to walk out what truth calls you to. Don’t ever get tired of grace. You know when Peter says, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God” in 2 Peter 1:2 (NKJV)? Well, my favorite part of the Greek word for grace—“charis”—is the last part in Strong’s Concordance because it talks about grace unto salvation. It doesn’t say grace is salvation. It’s unto salvation. So grace is received through faith. Grace empowers me to understand what faith is. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen, according to Hebrews 11:1. Grace empowers me to grab the things that are unseen and pull them into “now.”

Grace is the divine inspiration of God upon my heart with the outward reflection of God upon my life. So if it’s the divine inspiration of God upon my heart through agency of Holy Spirit, then the agency of Holy Spirit divinely inspires my heart, and according to Hebrews 4:12, 13 (NKVJ) “...the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” We must all give an account—why? Because I’ve got the Word of God that’s alive and that is able to transform my soul to change the way I think, and that empowers me to go after God with everything in me.

I don’t have to have a form of godliness while denying the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:5). I can have a form of godliness but actually live in godliness, too! And when you press into this, it says in 2 Timothy 3:12 (NKJV), “...all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” So when you live godly—not talk godly, not preach godly, not memorize or quote godly—but actually live godly, you will suffer persecution. When you press in and you hunger and thirst for righteousness, you shall be filled. And then godliness comes into your life and it becomes the number one focus. Legalism says, “I am godly, I am hidden in Christ, I can do anything I want—God knows I’m a sinner.” But I’m here to tell you that’s not the gospel. God says in Ephesians 2 that when you get saved, you get saved by grace, through faith, and you are justified from dead works in order to serve God. The blood of Jesus cleanses your conscience from dead and evil works in order for you to walk and live a life that is holy.

There’s a calling, and your calling is to be holy; to be pure before God all the days of your life. If something violates your conscience, you repent, you go after the truth of what God’s Word says, then, that truth changes the way you think so that the lie has no access to you. And when satan—the ruler of this world—comes, he has nothing on you. So when accusation comes, none of it is true. You don’t have to vindicate yourself because God has already vindicated you. Scripture says that vengeance is the Lord’s. Hopefully, they repent before they stand before God. It says in Matthew 12:37 that by your words you will be justified, and by your words you’ll be condemned. That means when I stand before God, I have to be sure I keep my heart pure from all the junk against me. I have to stop being offended. I can’t afford to let that stuff interfere with how I see God and how He sees me. What satan is after is to make you the accused because if he can make you the accused, he can make you the accuser.

But what if he has nothing to accuse you of? What if your heart’s pure? If you have something he can accuse you of—don’t fret—REPENT. God says in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Which means all that is left is what? Righteousness. The enemy can’t condemn that. If you’re allowing something in your life that needs to change, repent. Find out what God thinks—take His perspective, His Word, His truth—this is the antidote, the healing balm, the cleansing thing. Take it and apply it. Repent and get free.

Second Corinthians 10:4 says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds…” We need to make sure we’re taking captive every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God because grace empowers you to actually have the full manifestation of the knowledge of God in your soul. But you have to do the work! Don’t coast through life. Righteousness is foundational. Relationship with God is foundational. Romans 8:1 (NKJV) says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” You are not to live in carnality, in the flesh. You are to live with the full knowledge and grace of God in your life. You are to live empowered in righteousness with the truth of what God says, and it doesn’t matter what anybody says—that is priority. Go after Him with all that’s in you!
